Member of Parliament (MP) for the Sekyere Kumawu Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Ernest Yaw Anim, has made a significant contribution to the education sector in his constituency by presenting teaching and learning materials to several basic schools in the area.
The MP supported the Education Directorate with 2,000 books, which are set to be distributed among 42 basic schools. In addition to the books, Ernest Anim donated dual desks to eight primary schools.
The beneficiary schools which received 30 dual desks each include Besoro Methodist Primary School, Besoro R/C School, and Woraso Primary. Others are Dadease D/A, Bodomase D/A primary, Nkwanta Zion Primary School, and Sekyere Methodist.

Also, 35 brilliant and needy students from various communities were awarded scholarships amounting to GHS 50,000.
Ernest Anim highlighted that this initiative aims to alleviate the challenges faced by teachers and students due to inadequate teaching and learning materials.

He also emphasised the various opportunities created by the government in the education sector, such as free feeding and free uniforms, urging parents to actively support the government in enhancing the quality of education in the country.
The MP encouraged parents to provide proper supervision for their children at home to ensure improved academic performance.

Touching on health matters, Ernest Anim expressed excitement about the imminent completion of the Kumawu District Hospital, scheduled to be commissioned early next year.

He stated that the improvement of Kumawu roads remains his priority, adding that efforts are ongoing to ensure the timely completion of the asphalt. As part of his contributions, Ernest Yaw Anim also inaugurated his personal office to facilitate his activities in the constituency.
