It was a great time for gospel music lovers as Gospel musician Eugene Zuta thrilled fans with wonderful renditions at the launch of his 6th Album, 'God is'.
The 10-track album is part of Eugene Zuta Ministries and partner, International Justice Mission's initiative to raise awareness against child trafficking and also raise funds towards the rescue and support of victims.
The event saw great performances from Kofi Karikari, Nii Okai, Sheila, Christiana and the man behind the album, Eugene Zuta
Speaking to JoyNews, Eugene Zuta explained the inspiration behind the album;
“The whole idea behind the album is to raise peoples faith and let people know that God exists and no matter how difficult live is, God will come through for you. The whole idea of the rescue a child project is to create awareness and raise support in terms of money to help in the rescue of children,” he said.
The West African Director for International Justice Mission, Anita Budu, says even though Ghana is doing well in the fight against child trafficking, there is more room for improvement.
“As we draw closer to God, we should also draw closer to our fellow human beings and so these children who are on the lake, and are going through hazardous work, working 11 to 12 hours a day and not being able to go to school, we need to create awareness.

"Ghana has really made progress over the years. Over the past 8 years, there has been more awareness but we are not there yet. There is still more work that has to be done. It's important we keep raising awareness.“
With this social impact component dubbed "Rescue A Child", Eugene and his team seek to create awareness on child trafficking in Ghana and raise funds towards the rescue and restoration of victims.
‘God Is” aims to encourage Ghanaians to affirm their faith in a God.
It comes on the back of the Covid-19 pandemic which according to him, dealt a deadly blow to many, leading them to question their faith.
