Eugene Zuta Ministries (EZM) has donated 72 rescue packs (bags containing essential items needed by a child at the point of rescue) valued at ₵29,000 to International Justice Mission (IJM) Ghana, an NGO that supports law enforcement authorities to combat human trafficking in Ghana.
The donation which is in support of IJM’s work of protecting and restoring victims of child trafficking took place at IJM’s office in Accra. Along with the rescue packs, the leadership of EZM presented a citation to IJM.
The donation stems from a partnership between EZM and IJM to raise awareness about Human Trafficking as part of the launch of Eugene Zuta’s new album, “God Is”.

In realising this, EZM activated a social component of the album launch dubbed, “Rescue A Child” project. The other objective of the partnership, aside awareness, was to raise funds to support victims of child trafficking.
The Programmes Manager of EZM, David Nii Laate, during the presentation of the items highlighted how grateful the team is for the partnership. He mentioned how the partnership has enlightened his team about the existence and nature of human trafficking in Ghana.
“The EZM team created awareness of human trafficking on all their social media platforms as well as via radio, television, and print media. A total number of 203, 821 audiences were reached through the social media posts”, he said.
In response, the West Africa Director of IJM, Anita Budu, said, “IJM appreciates the partnership with Eugene Zuta Ministries in creating awareness about child trafficking and raising funds to support victims of child trafficking.”

Ms. Budu emphasised how IJM strives to find innovative ways in creating more awareness of human trafficking by partnering with NGO's, government partners, the media and influencers.
The 6th album of gospel sensation, Eugene Zuta, “God Is” was launched on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at the Charismatic Evangelistic Ministries, North Legon. The album launch brought together seasoned guest ministers, clergymen and over 800 attendees.
The Rescue A Child Campaign forms part of EZM’s corporate social responsibility to protect the vulnerable in society and to shine a light on social issues in Ghana.
