After recording a disappointing 1-1 draw against Hungary, France go into matchday three with the aim of clinching top spot in Group F as they go into the arena with a tricky Portugal side.
Portugal also go into the final round of games in search of a win to seal automatic qualification to the knockout stages. They recorded a 4-2 defeat against Germany on matchday two despite the best efforts from Cristiano Ronaldo.
On Wednesday, two European giants and last edition’s finalists will settle their differences on the pitch once again.
A draw expected
The two teams possess immense quality in all areas and could cancel each other out in the end. France may have been held to a 1-1 draw by Hungary but they have shown over the years that they can go head-to-head with the best teams.
Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Karim Benzema will be in the spotlight once again as France search for top spot in Group F.
Portugal, as always, has Cristiano Ronaldo to call upon. The Juventus man is one of the top scorers in the competition with three strikes in two games.
The Seleccao also have Bernardo Silva to rely on for creativity. The match will likely produce goals but should end in a draw.
The odds
France are favorites to take all three points with their odds priced at 2.19 by Betway. Portugal, in comparison, have their odds pinned at 3.60. A draw has been priced at 3.06.
