Daniel Quantson, a former national security coordinator, has urged radio stations to cut down on phone-in programs as the December elections draw near.
He said that while most people of the country are concerned with keeping the elections violence free, a few continue trying to foment unrest.
Danie Quantson believed phone-in radio shows can become a forum for such people to reach the public.
By reducing these callers' access to the listening public, Mr. Quantson believed, peace can be better ensured.
His comments come amid concerns that serial callers, allegedly paid to spread political party messages, regularly bombard these programs.
