Organizers of this year's Joy FM Old Schools Reunion say this year's event promises to put together a package that will appeal to both young and old.
The social event is an annual one that brings old students from all Ghanaian second cycle institutions together at one spot.
Organizers say this year's edition will move from finding old school mates, singing known school songs and making new friends to witnessing some of the world's great artists perform live on one stage.
Also this year the programme will be held at the Trade Fair Centre at La, Accra, to accommodate the growing numbers of people who throng to the event.
In a build up to the event various schools have been visiting the station's studios in a bid to encourage their mates to attend the event.
On Wednesday morning, the first of an all female past students group to take their turn at Joy FM’s studios, St. Monica's Secondary School from Asante Mampong in the Ashanti Region, treated listeners of the station to very interesting songs.
Prempeh College in Kumasi is also leading in a one-minute word formation contest.
This year's event, which has been dubbed Golden Jubilee Schools Reunion, is expected to feature some top international reggae artistes, including Shaggy who will be performing live in Ghana for the second time in three years.
According to Cox Tamakloe, Head of Events and Promotions at Joy FM, other local artistes, led by the award-winning Batman Samini will also liven up the day-long event.
