Two ethnic factions who were involved in the bloody clashes that left five persons including a police officer injured have resolved not to use violence to deal with their differences again.
This follows a meeting between the parties earlier today.
Four residents who got injured in last Thursday’s ethnic clashes at the Agbogbloshie onion market in Accra, have also been discharged.
Joy News' Derrick Ekow Sam was in the area this afternoon and reports that leaders from both factions have agreed to maintain peace in the area.
This according to them is the only way the development they seek will be realised.
“What happened has given us a lesson for us to know that we should love each other rather than dividing one another and where there is peace and love that is where we can earn our growth," one of the leaders said to Derrick.
They are confident that with this new agreement both factions will live in peace.
