The Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has underscored the crucial role played by faith-based organisations in Ghana's development.
Addressing some members of the clergy during his ongoing campaign tour across the Western Region, Dr Bawumia emphasised the significant contributions of religious institutions to various sectors of Ghanaian society.
He highlighted the invaluable contributions of faith-based institutions to Ghana's development since pre-colonial times.
From education to healthcare and the economy, religious institutions have left an indelible mark on the nation's development landscape.

“Recognising the pivotal role that faith-based institutions play in our society, my government will explore opportunities to partner with them for even greater development outcomes,”Dr Bawumia stated.
During his engagement with members of the clergy, Dr Bawumia also urged fellow politicians to prioritise national peace and stability over personal political ambitions.
His visit to the Western Region is part of his ongoing campaign tour ahead of the 2024 general elections, where he continues to engage with various stakeholders to discuss critical issues facing the nation.
Dr Bawumia's acknowledgment of the invaluable contributions of faith-based institutions reflects his commitment to fostering partnerships for national development and promoting peace and stability in Ghana.
