Family units in Kumasi are excited to be part of the maiden edition of the family socialization event dubbed “Family Party in the Park” happening in the Garden City.
After two successful events by Joy FM in Accra, families in the Ashanti regional capital are expected to troop to the KNUST Botanic Gardens to be part of the fun on Saturday, January 1, 2011.
Already, the kids are leading their families to the front desk of Luv FM to purchase tickets for the New Year Family Party in the Park.
Activities lined up on the day include bouncing castles, horse riding, modeling balloons, face painting, cotton candies, video and other indoor games as well as Karaoke sessions.
Whilst the boys and girls catch their own fun, special avenues have been created for daddies and mummies to do their own things; the palm–wine joint apparently looks very attractive!.
A major attraction to the event grounds perhaps is the myth behind a stream passing through the botanic garden – here, the legendary Okomfo Anokye is said to have walked through the stream and imprint of his footsteps are engraved on the rocks.
Some families have taken the lead to assess the mood and safety at the KNUST Botanic Gardens, are have expressed delight to spend the day with other families on New Year day.
Organizers say the objective is to create quality fun for families – to hang out and network amidst live band music.
Sponsors for the Luv Fm Family Party in the Park include Golden Dish Catering Services, Topson Enterprise – importers of Miss African Jasmine Rice, Salibrad Digital Photos and Video Studio as well as Multi-Tv.
