A magistrate's court at Mankranso has granted GH¢1,000 bail with surety to a 26-year-old farmer, who assaulted a drinking bar operator, at Biemso Number One in the Ahafo-Ano South District.
Akwasi Boateng, the accused pleaded not guilty and would re-appear at court on January 29 this year.
Police Inspector Abraham Agyei Mensah, told the court presided over by Mr. Frank Owusu-Afriyie that on December 26, last year, the accused after drinking alcohol at the complainant's drinking bar, forcibly took away a bottle of Guinness.
Prosecution said when the complainant attempted to take back the Guinness, the accused insulted her.
Inspector Mensah said the complainant warned the accused not to enter the bar again and he (accused) attacked her, inflicting a cut on her eyebrow with a penknife.
The Prosecutor said the complainant was rushed to the Mankranso District Hospital.
