First National Bank has announced a partnership with Monday Design and Author Digital Labs to co-present DiscovHer, a first-of-its-kind event dedicated to celebrating and empowering women in Ghana's creative industry.
Scheduled for Saturday, 21st March 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Dawadawa, Nyaniba Estates, Accra, the event will bring together photographers, graphic designers, UI/UX designers, filmmakers, and visual artists for purpose-driven conversations on the challenges and opportunities facing women in the creative space, with a focus on collaboration, community building, and finding solutions that last.
Nana Adwoa Sey, Founder of Monday Design said “DiscovHer exists because we believe women creatives deserve more than a seat at the table; they deserve a room of their own. Author Digital Labs and Monday Design came together to build this event to spark real connection, confidence, and career momentum.”
Rachael Tachie-Menson, founder of Author Digital labs added, “this collaboration was born out of a shared belief that when women in creative fields and tech find each other, something shifts. We're grateful to First National Bank for being a partner that sees the value in that.”

The timing to do this during International Women’s Month is intentional but the commitment behind it runs deeper than a single month. Empowering women in Ghana is not a seasonal campaign; it is an ongoing commitment, one backed by real financial tools, community investment, and the kind of trust that only grows through consistent presence. This partnership reflects First National Bank’s deliberate focus on showing up meaningfully, delivering genuine value, and building relationships that last.
Explaining the bank’s support for DiscovHer, the Head of Retail Banking at First National Bank, Akweley Laryea, said that DiscovHer is an extension of the bank's women-focused banking proposition, H.E.R. Banking (Helping Every Woman Rise).
“H.E.R Banking was built on the recognition that women are at the heart of families, businesses, and communities across Ghana, and they deserve a financial partner who genuinely understands their journey. We are keeping an eye out for existing institutions that are amplifying the strides women are making in business, professionalism and sector leadership so we can plug in with our special banking offerings for them. These are ways we anchor our promise of HELP. And with our involvement in women-led initiatives like DiscovHer, we turn purpose into action while ensuring that our support translates into real, measurable impact for the women these serve”, she affirmed.
Nana Adwoa made a call on emerging to seasoned women creatives, arts associations, cultural institutions and enthusiastic art stakeholders to attend, participate, and help amplify this impactful event.
“Your voice, presence, and perspective matter. Join us as we collectively build a more inclusive, connected, and empowered creative ecosystem in Ghana”, she concluded.
