Former President John Kufuor has denied family ties to one Felicia Kufour who together with ten others were recently sentenced a to combined prison term of 139 years.
Since the news about the drug-related arrests and sentencing broke, several social media posts have linked the lady to the former President with some describing her as a niece to former President Kufuor.
Felicia Kufour (pictured below) was busted waiting for a cocaine-loaded bag from Rio at Heathrow after it was placed on a carousel for domestic flights. She is due to be sentenced at a later date.

A statement from the office of the former President has rubbished the claim that Felicia Kufour is his relative.

“The former president wants to make it known to all and sundry that that individual is not known to him and is no niece or relative of his,” the statement signed by Dr Kwabena Osei-Adubofour, Senior Aide to Former President John Kufuor, said.
