The Inter ministerial taskforce on illegal mining has so far deported a total of about 3,800 foreigners engaged in unlawful small scale mining, since it began work on June 1.
Some 1,568 foreigners and 51 Ghanaians have also been arrested as well as the seizure of several equipment including weapons and vehicles.
The taskforce set up by President John Mahama has completed the first phase of its operations and assessing the results of its activities.
Chairman of the taskforce and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini who gave the update on the operations of the taskforce, warned all persons still engaged in illegal small scale mining to desist, or risk being caught up by the law.
