The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has expressed appreciation to all stakeholders for their contribution to the successful completion of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
In a statement issued on the FA website, the GFA President commended the 18 participating clubs for their resilience, passion, and commitment, which he said had driven the growth and revival of Ghana’s domestic league.
"From the electrifying matchdays to the emergence of young talents and the unwavering support from fans across the country, we have collectively demonstrated that Ghana football is on a resolute path of revival and excellence," the statement read.
He congratulated Gold Stars FC on winning the league title and encouraged other clubs to build on their efforts for future success.
The GFA President also acknowledged the contributions of match officials, administrators, medical teams, groundsmen, volunteers, and media partners for their roles throughout the season.
He paid special tribute to football fans, describing them as "the soul of Ghana football," and highlighted their continued support as a key inspiration for the sport’s development.
While celebrating the season’s successes, the GFA President also noted some unfortunate incidents at certain match venues, emphasising the association’s commitment to improving safety and respect within the game.
He assured that the GFA will continue to enhance education at the club level and strengthen matchday protocols to ensure a more secure and inclusive environment for all stakeholders.
As preparations begin for the 2025/26 season, the GFA pledged to build on the current foundation and work towards further improving Ghana football.
