Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited has launched a bespoke media campaign dubbed ‘Responsible Drinking and Hosting’ aimed at providing consumers and the general public with insightful responsible drinking and hosting tips throughout the festive season.
Responsible Drinking and Hosting is a radio and print media based campaign that provides information on how merrymakers can enjoy alcohol without abusing it.
The media campaign, set to begin on Wednesday 19 December, features executives of the Company, including Peter Ndegwa, Managing Director, GGBL, Agnes Essah, Marketing Director providing tips on responsible alcohol consumption and advising Ghanaians not to engage in drink driving.
Speaking about the campaign, Mr. Peter Ndegwa, said “The Christmas holidays is the time for re-unions. It is also that time of the year when Ghanaians travel to spend time with their families’ friends and dear ones… GGBL is reaching through the media of radio and print to provide responsible drinking and hosting tips to Ghanaians. ”
“As a business”, he continued, “we believe strongly in educating consumers on the responsible enjoyment of alcohol and we are using this campaign to urge Ghanaians to enjoy responsibly. I want to take this opportunity to wish all Ghanaians a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. Remember, enjoy Responsibly, Don’t Drink and Drive.
The campaign, which will be aired on Joy FM’s ‘Drive Time’ will also be replicated on six major radio stations throughout the country and will be augmented by press adverts in the major news papers.
