Ghana has been elected to serve on the African Union’s Advisory Board on Corruption. The election took place at the ongoing AU Summit in Addiss Ababa, Ethiopia. Ghana scored 73 percent of the total votes cast to emerge tops in Africa. Ten other African countries will join Ghana on the board. Dr. Tony Aidoo, Director of Ghana Government’s Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation at the Castle will represent the country. Meanwhile, African leaders attending the AU Summit in Addis Ababa have resolved to employ dialogue and negotiations in resolving the election and leadership stalemate in the Ivory Coast. The decision was arrived at after a crucial meeting held Saturday night by the African leaders. A panel comprising heads of state of Five African countries has also been formed to take charge of the negotiations. Director of Communications at the presidency, Koku Anyidoho, disclosed this to Joy News in an interview from Addis Ababa. President J.E.A.
