Ghana and Nigeria are warming up to the biggest musical battle yet - Ghana Meets Naija - and whiles many are already grabbing seats for this much anticipated event, sources say Nigerians are taking this battle seriously than the Ghanaian counterparts.
Already there are huge demands for this once in a lifetime concert tickets; oo, sorry! According to "Bora Lay" (all apologies to Amakye Dede) it is going to be an annual event.
But seriously Bola Ray paaaa…. you and this your magnificent Empire Entertainment people koraaa, why the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre? You no know say the place small for this Showdown?
From what I'm hearing, the Naija folks have already started booking the 45 minutes flight to Ghana and I have been reliably informed that there are about ten thousand supporters from Nigerian already on their way to Ghana.
Considering the handy works of Empire Entertainment, backed by the Super Station, Joy 99.7 FM and Hitz 103.7 FM, the Accra Sports Stadium is best suited for such an event.
Surprisingly, this event is the talk of town and people just can't wait and the most exciting aspect is that, it's a holiday - Republic Day, July 1 - I go bee keke.
Let's recall what Bola Ray known in real life as Nathaniel Kwabena Anokye Adisi said during the launch of the concert: "1st of July, we are going to give you something that is mind blowing, something that is unprecedented - never happened before," adding, "certainly, Ghana meets Nigeria is going to be one of the biggest shows, if not the biggest to be staged in Ghana."
I don't recall this man ever failing to deliver - for crying out loud he has played a pivotal role in the country's entertainment industry. He is still part of its foundation.
He was recently awarded Ghana's Showbiz Personality of the year at the 14th City People Awards for excellence held in March this year in Lagos, Nigeria.
