US-based entrepreneur, Porsha Irena Bowler, has described Ghanaians as ambitious but lacking opportunities to explore their potentials, unlike what pertains to in the United States of America.
Speaking during an entrepreneurship training for 15 members of the Scout and Guide Fellowship of Ghana, she observed that Ghanaians are ready to succeed and help others.
Miss Bowler, therefore, encouraged people to "just keep trying, don't give up… in the States, we can have the opportunity, but it is harder for some of us”.
She disclosed that most people she has met in Ghana want to relocate to the US.
"But I tell them you are already in America. We have someone who looks exactly like you in America; they are also trying to figure out how they will travel as well," she said.
She encouraged participants who attended the event to discover their talents and be creative. She trained them on candle colour coding and what they can do to earn an income.
Miss Bowler admitted Ghana is the best place to be, and she appreciates her stay. She also acknowledged the generosity of Ghanaians, compared to the United States of America.
"Everything is completely different, yet the same. I learned they manage a lot here than the US," she said.
Miss Bowler stated that she was ignorant about Ghana and thought she could only see lions, giraffes, among other animals.
Members of the Scout and Guide Fellowship in the Ashanti region were excited about the training and pledged to pass on the knowledge to others.
They said it was an opportunity for their Scout camps to use candles, especially where there is no electricity.
They have also scheduled to donate blood and educate the public about Covid-19 protocols in the Kwabre East municipality.
