The Head Pastor of New Jerusalem Congregation of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has urged Ghanaians to ask God to protect the peace in the country.
Rev. Richmond Tettey makes this appeal as the nation prepares to go to the polls in December.
With reference to some utterances of some politicians, he said believers and heads of religious institutions must intercede on behalf of the country when they pray.
‘We need peace before, during and after the elections...if there is no peace in this country, you and I cannot do the work that God has called us to do and that is why we need peace,’ he stressed.

Rev. Tettey made the appeal when the church launched its 10th Anniversary at its premises at SCC, Weija.
He urged politicians to desist from the use of abusive words during their campaign to avoid plunging the country into chaos.
The church has a number of activities lined up between July and December 2016 to mark the Anniversary.

The activities include Youthfest, a talk on the system of governance of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Photo Exhibition, and Food Bazaar and much more.
