A group calling itself concerned citizens of Ghanaians living in the United States of America are expected to go on demonstration against President John Mahama, Wednesday.
The group numbering about 500 are protesting what they claim is the untold hardship being visited on Ghanaians as a result of government's poor management of the economy.
Among the issues being raised include high utility and fuel adjustment non payment of allowances to lecturers and other public servants which have resulted in needless strikes.
The demonstration coincides with the signing of an agreement for the release of the long awaited second compact of the Millennium Challenge Account as well as US-Africa summit currently underway in the US.
Organizer of the group, Kwaku Ofori told Joynews the group will stage the demonstration at the US State Department where president Mahama and other African leaders are attending the US-Africa summit being hosted by President Obama.
"The issues are many but the ones that we touched on are the bad management of the economy, the falling of the cedi, judgment debts paid by government and monies which cannot be accounted," he stated.
"What is happening in Ghana is affecting us directly here in the US. Businesses in Ghana are dying. We have businesses we want to grow in Ghana which are dying," he stated.
Similar demonstrations were held in Ghana with the most recent being the nationwide demonstration organised by the Trades Union with its affiliate bodies.
