In a statement issued on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, the ministry said the decision to resume operations follows a marked improvement in the security situation in Iran.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to inform the public that with the improvement in the security situation in Iran, a decision has been taken for the Embassy to resume its operations on Tuesday, September 16, 2025,” the statement read.
The ministry assured that it will continue to monitor developments closely to safeguard the staff of the mission and members of the Ghanaian community in Iran.
It also reiterated its commitment to protecting Ghanaians abroad and pledged to provide timely updates when necessary.
