The 2025 PruRide Accra men’s road race brought high drama to the streets of Accra, with Solomon Tagoe of Gutten CC emerging as champion after a grueling 100km contest that ended at the Black Star Square.
Tagoe powered to victory with an impressive average speed of 34.68 km/h, securing the ₵15,000 top prize.
He was followed by Frank Akuffo Awuku of TBT, who finished second to claim ₵8,000, while Prince Maison of Club Sky Team completed the podium in third place, earning ₵5,000.
The men’s race featured a strong field of 110 cyclists, with Ghanaian riders dominating the top 10. Young talents also stood out, including Mubarak Shaaban Mohammed, born in 2009, who was the youngest rider in the men’s division.
Now in its sixth edition, PruRide Accra continues to cement its reputation as Ghana’s biggest urban cycling festival, presented by Prudential Life Insurance Ghana in partnership with the Ghana Cycling Federation and powered by CarbonAv.
