Over twenty (20) appointees in government on Wednesday visited the tomb of late President John Evans Atta Mills at the Asomdwee Park at the Castle, Osu.The young appointees, most whom are deputy ministers, include Samuel Okudzejo-Ablakwa and James Agyenim-Boateng of the Information Ministry, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah of Local Government and Rural Development Ministry, Fifi Kwetey of the Finance and Economic Planning Ministry as well as Baba Jamal of the Tourism Ministry.
Others are Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw of the Water Resources, Works and Housing Ministry, Kofi Armah Boah and Inusa Fuseini of the Energy Ministry and Haruna Idrisu, Minister of Communications.They were accompanied by their colleagues at the Presidency such as Nii Lantey Vanderpuiye and Stan Xoese Dogbe.Additionally, appointees like Hakeem Ahmed who is the Media Liaison Officer at the Finance Ministry, Kwadwo Twum-Boafo of the Free Zones Board and National Petroleum Authority Boss Alex Mould, joined the team to honour the late President who gave them the opportunity to serve the nation at various levels.They parked their vehicles at the Independence Square and walked to the Asomdwee Park, where they laid wreaths on the tomb of the late President and offered prayers for his soul.They spent close to twenty (20) minutes meditating at the tomb and promised to honor the memory of late president Mills by ensuring the NDC is voted back into power.
