After clinching all maximum point at the expense of New Edubiase on matchday one, Accra Hearts of Oak have another hurdle as they come up against Medeama Sc in the topliner of Match day two of the in the Ghana Premier league.
The game will see two expatriates battle for supremacy on a land foreign to them. It is set to be a tactical chess between with Swede Tom Strand and Japanese American Kenichi Yatsuhashi.
Hearts of Oaks' Japanese Coach Kenichi Yatsuhashi is still on a mission to win love and affection of the Phobian faithfuls, having been criticized for lacking the fitting credentials to lead the side.
He would certainly cement his place as a club hero should he mastermind a first league win for the Phobians at the T&A Park.
However, he faces a daunting task following the injuries of new kid on the block Samudeen Ibrahim and goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye – who both failed to recover from their knocks in their opening day victory over New Edubiase.
However, there’ll still be the likes of Samuel Yeboah and captain Robin Gnagne to rely on, and the latter in particular will be handed the task of keeping danger man Bernard Ofori at bay.
The former Edubiase striker has scored in his two competitive outings for the Yellow and Mauves and will be hoping for a third.
The match however will be won in the middle of the pitch where Sarbah Laryea and Mustapha Essuman come up against Kwasi Donsu and Malik Akowuah.
Medeama come into the game on the back of their opening day defeat to Ashanti Gold.
Strand’s side are yet to succumb to the Accra-based side at Tarkwa since the team metamorphosed from Kessben FC to Medeama SC in 2011.
The Tarkwa side boasts of two wins with three others ending in draws out of five home matches against the 20 time league champions
Join Sunday Live on the Sports Arena as we see which of these two coaches wins the tactical battle at the T&A park..Eric Asante will be Joy Sports correspondent from Tarkwa.
