The rhythm of excitement is rising across Ghana’s entertainment landscape as the countdown to the 13th edition of the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards intensifies.
Organizers, Merqury Republic, have officially confirmed that the nominees for the 2025 edition, powered by Smirnoff, will be announced on Tuesday, October 15, just 45 days ahead of the grand event slated for November 29, 2025, at the Palms Convention Centre, Accra.

This announcement marks a major moment on the industry calendar, signaling the beginning of what many regard as “the most competitive DJ season in years”.
This year, over 12,000 entries were received from DJs and the public globally, with many eagerly anticipating nominations in one of the most revered DJ awards scheme in the world, Ghana DJ Awards. The Academy, made up of DJs, musicians and other creative players also submitted entries rooting for outstanding artists to earn nominations that could eventually see them taking home a plaque or more on November 29.
Aside the International DJ of the Year category which the global spotlight is fixated on, Disc Jockeys from all 16 regions of Ghana will compete in 43 categories, while the scheme sets aside 2 honorary awards for grabs, totaling 47 awards on the night. Music fans have their minds fixated on the ultimate – DJ of the Year – a title that is currently held by DJ Lord OTB, who has won it twice in a row.

It is noteworthy to mention that Kumasi will be lit on Saturday, November 1 with mind-blowing performances from some of the region’s finest DJs at Pula’s Lounge, an event that will mark the climax of the 2025 Pub Fest.
Meanwhile, on November 27, the final DJ Clinic will also take place at the Alliance Francaise, setting the perfect stage for the crescendo at Palms Convention Center two days later.
The 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards night beckons, and the countdown continues, with iconic and memorable performances expected from reigning DJ of the Year DJ Lord OTB, DJ Vyrusky, DJ Sly King, Merqury Quaye, AD DJ, DJ Phantom, and many more, all of whom have been confirmed.

On the other hand, top-tier performers Kwabena Kwabena, Samini, and Stonebwoy have all been confirmed to mount the stage, and ‘Shake the Floor’, while making history at the 2025 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, powered by Smirnoff.
Patrons and music fans have not been neglected in this year’s calendar. Apart from nominating their favourites in the various categories, the best-dressed attendee on the big night will be treated to an all-expenses paid stay at Aqua Safari, kind and proud courtesy of Wakanow.
Meanwhile, tickets to the event can be accessed on Veetickets.com or using the USSD *714*888#.
Now in its 13th year, the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards reaffirms its place as the heartbeat of Ghana’s music culture—celebrating the turntable masters who set the tone for our parties, concerts, and nightlife. This year’s edition promises even bigger surprises, electrifying performances, a glittering celebration of Ghana’s finest DJs, and, for the first time ever, a special Reggae Sound Clash.
The wait is almost over. Africa’s biggest and most revered DJ event is closer than ever – scheduled for November 29, 2025.
