Afrobeats singer Gyakie, has reacted to a video circulating on social media where she failed to hug young Kumerican rapper Yaw Tog.
The viral video on social media sighted by Myjoyonline.com saw the "Forever" hitmaker hug rapper Kofi Jamar while in the Greenroom at the just ended 2021 All Africa Music (AFRIMA) Awards in Nigeria.
In the said footage, Gyakie however did not pass the same gesture to Yaw Tog who was seated close to Kofi Lamar.

This incident has led to many speculating on Twitter that Yaw Tog was snubbed by Gyakie, therefore, asking if there is a beef between the duo.

But in a tweet amidst this brouhaha spanning out on Wednesday morning, Gyakie hinted at a possible misunderstanding of the video being circulated.
Using an image of the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, captured in a misconstrued story, she told harsh critics: "Half information and wrong understanding can be very poisonous."

Meanwhile, rapper Kofi Jamar has cleared the air over the matter. In a tweet, he indicated that Yaw Tog was the first to be hugged by Gyakie and not snubbed as suggested, buttressing the "misunderstanding" comment by Gyakie.
The only reason it was not captured he said was because his management had walked in few seconds after Jackie walked in.

He insists that there is no fuss between the two artistes in question. Thus, urged all to desist from "spreading the false narrative" but rather "push what needs the right attention."
He concluded by stating that the Ghanaian artistes who were nominated and present at the 2021 AFRIMA Awards had a good time and that "it's all love here at this side."
The few Ghanaian artistes who were nominated at the 2021 AFRIMA Awards included Gyakie, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Yaw Tog, Kidi and DJ Sly.
Gyakie was nominated for ‘Best Female Artiste in Western Africa’, ‘Best African Collaboration’ and ‘Best Artiste, Duo or Group in African R n B Soul’.
