District directors of health in the Brong-Ahafo region have been commended for educating parents and nursing mothers about the importance of the child health promotion week programme.
Dr. Felicia Owusu-Antwi and Miss Margaret Rose Afriyie, had been charged with the responsibility of monitoring the conduct of the exercise in the region and study events in the various communities.
Dr. Owusu-Antwi told the GNA that they had been very impressed about the awareness created by the officials of the health services about the programme.
She emphasized the need for health workers to work diligently at their workplaces to save the lives of people.
Ms. Afriyie said for future health programmes to become achievable all reports would be sent to the national headquarters for strategies to be streamlined to address the challenges found during the programme.
She commended the people for the high sense of tolerance they exhibited during the programme and advised them to maintain such spirit for the growth of the communities.
