As the country prepares for the celebration of its 50th Anniversary Celebration of its independence, operators of the Hotel industry have been called upon to prevent pre-security as they welcome guests and visitors into their premises.They have also been reminded of the existing laws on defilement and have been called upon to ensure that only adults are allowed into their premises in order not to tarnish the image of the country.These statements were made by the Agona District Chairman of the Ghana Hoteliers Association, Mr. Clement Adams at a meeting with the members of the Association at Agona Swedru recently.He called on members of the Association to make sure that their premises are made friendly for customers to enjoy their services. Mr. Clement Adams, who is also the Managing Director of Home Touch Restaurant based at Agona Swedru added that, as the nation is preparing for its 50th Anniversary, there is the need for customer care to be intensified.The District Chairman also called for tougher security in their premises to ensure incident free in the wake of the celebration and even beyond.On contributions of the Association towards the development of the country Mr. Adams stated that members have been honouring their tax obligations to government for its development drive.He called on the government through the District Assemblies to ensure that those who go into the Hotel Industry comply with laid down procedures and are also pay their tax.Mr. Clement Adams appealed to the Central Regional organizers of Ghana's 50th Anniversary Celebration to assist the Association financially to enable them contribute their quota towards the celebration of the event by upgrading their facilities to suit the occasion.Independent
