During his reign as Prime Minister and President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah started an ambitious project to transform then fishing community, Tema, into an industrial city.
By the time he was overthrown, several industries engaged in food processing, textile manufacturing, steel production, among others had been established.
Today, majority of them have collapsed leaving the youth jobless. In the second part of our Hotline Documentary titled 'Tema: Decaying modern city, aired on the Joy FM Super Morning Show on Thursday October 9, 2014, Joseph Opoku Gakpo explored what could be done to revamp these industries. Listen.
