In an era where sustainable agriculture is crucial for food security, AiScarecrow Technologies Ltd is at the forefront of innovation for pest birds control.
As a KIC-funded business, AiScarecrow harnesses artificial intelligence (AI) to provide smart, eco-friendly, and automated crop protection solutions for cereal farmers while promoting environmentally responsible farming.
AiScarecrow Technologies introduces AI-powered monitoring systems and automated deterrents for bird scaring for cereal producers using drones.
This minimises crop losses, improves yields, and fosters a more sustainable agricultural ecosystem.
AiScarecrow’s journey has been significantly boosted by the Kosmos Innovation Center (KIC).
After emerging as winners at the 2019 KIC AgriTech Challenge Classic, the team won funding support to scale up their operations.
Through follow-on mentorship and access to critical networks, AiScarecrow has scaled its operations, refined its technology, and expanded its reach to impact more farmers.
KIC’s support has enabled the company to support farmers in navigating key challenges in the agricultural sector while unlocking growth opportunities.
“By providing data-driven, climate-smart solutions, AiScarecrow empowers farmers to make informed pest control decisions, improving productivity and resilience against climate-related agricultural threats," said Mary Aboagye, Co-founder of AiScarecrow.
The adoption of AI-driven pest management not only safeguards farms but also contributes to a more robust and food-secure Ghana.
Speaking on KIC’s impact in supporting agribusinesses, Benjamin Gyan-Kesse, Executive Director of KIC, said, "At KIC, we are committed to fostering innovation in agriculture by supporting businesses like AiScarecrow that provide smart, scalable solutions to farmers”.
With the continued partnership of the Mastercard Foundation, KIC is empowering agripreneurs with the funding, technical support, and networks they need to transform Ghana’s agricultural sector.
By investing in technology-driven businesses, we are paving the way for sustainable farming practices, increased productivity, and improved livelihoods for farmers across the country.
