Presdent of IMANI Ghana, a policy think-tank has stated he is prepared to work in any capacity to help the government get a handle on the implementation of the Single Spine Salary Structure (SSSS).
Franklin Cudjoe says he has soften his stance out of respect for the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations who is making frantic attempts to have him back.
The President of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe last week, resigned from his position on the Single Spine Sustainability committee, claiming the Ministry of Finance was usurping the authority of the Ministry of Employment under which worked.
This was after he alleged that the Ministry of Finance directed the committee through the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission to stop meeting.
The Finance Ministry did not take kindly to the resignation of the IMANI describing it good riddance.
The ministry also described his claim as "false, unfortunate, worrying and grossly unfair".
But reacting on Joy News to the Finance Ministry’s statement, Mr. Cudjoe revealed that on the day when the Finance Minister issued a statement to lambaste him, his colleague Minister of Employment Nii Armah Ashietey had called him that afternoon to express worry over his resignation and assure him everything was being done to resolve the impasse.
He continued that the Employment Minister’s effort which contradicted that of the Finance Ministry proved the two ministries were not communicating.
He was however ready to assist in the implementation of the SSSS.
