Seasoned journalist and master of ceremonies, Nathaniel Attoh, has shared the inspiring story of how he discovered his emceeing talent at a young age.
Speaking on 'The Career Trail' programme, Mr Attoh revealed that his journey as an MC began in Class 5 at Ridge Church School.
"I discovered my MC talent in Class 5," he said.
According to Mr. Attoh, his teacher, Mrs. Benson Adjei, gave him the opportunity to host a debate on the topic "Farmers and Doctors: Who is More Important to the Development of a Nation?" After two failed trial attempts by his classmates, he volunteered and was selected to host the debate.
"Interestingly, considering that my father was a doctor, I would have loved to debate for the doctor; but I was taken to be a debater for the farmer," he recounted.
Mr Attoh's success in hosting the debate earned him the nickname "MC." He went on to hone his skills, eventually becoming one of the top emcees in Ghana.
He credited Mr. Reginald Daniel Laryea, Board Chairman of Goil, for giving him his first professional opportunity to emcee an award event without prior knowledge of his work.
"One of the people I am always grateful to is Mr. Gideon Laryea, the current Board Chairman of Goil. He decided for me to emcee a major event, an awards event when he hadn’t seen me MC before. I will forever be grateful because, when he took that decision, it defined a turnaround in my career," he revealed.

Today, Nathaniel Attoh has hosted numerous high-profile events, including; Presidential events, CAF's Women's AFCON opening ceremony, Rhythms of Africa Concert, Miss Universe Pageant, amongst several others.
Mr Attoh's inspiring journey serves as a testament to the importance of self-discovery and seizing opportunities.
