Nigerian music super star, David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has refuted claims that he has a beef with Wizkid.
There have been several reports of a rift between the top artistes with the latest one emerging last week that both artistes managed to spend a whopping N500,000 (approximately GHc6,000) on booze at a drinking spree.
Davido was alleged to have disappeared from the scene shortly after the spree and his aide took the bar tenders to Wizkid’s home where he was forced to issue a cheque to cover their unpaid expenses.
Davido told Hitz Entertainment News that there is no truth to the reports, adding people are just cooking up stories to dent their friendship.
According to the Dami Duro hit singer, “We are the youngest in the industry; we put out the most hits last year so people are just putting rumors just to tear us apart. People also want to make money that’s why they are doing that.”
“See Wiz and I are cool, people will always talk but there is nothing of that sought between us. We are both responsible so if we order something, we definitely have the money to pay for it,” he added.
The 19 year-old, who shot to fame in 2011, also revealed that he is going into movies and will be directing a movie which will feature two top Ghanaian actresses.
Davido was however reluctant to share the names of these top Ghanaian actresses but said everyone should watch out for the movie soon.
He further disclosed that he will be shooting a new video, Gunshot with Ghana’s fastest rapper Sarkodie in South Africa next week.
“We recorded it [the song] when we met in New York and we're planning to shoot the video in South Africa soon but before then I will go to Ivory Coast, then to South Africa [for the video], Italy and Spain then back to Nigeria to celebrate Christmas” Davido said.
