The former Deputy Minister of Communications, Victoria Hamah has broken her silence several days after she was fired by President Mahama over a leaked tape on which she was heard making some astonishing claims.
In an interview with Radio XYZ’s, Victoria Hammah said she respects the decision of the President to fire her but bemoaned the fact that she was not given a fair hearing by the media on the saga which is now known as the 'Vikileaks’.
Ms. Hammah on the leaked tape which was recorded by her cousin-driver was heard saying that the Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Nana Oye Lithur influenced the Justices that sat on the election petition case which affirmed President Mahama’s electoral victory.

Apart from vouching to bag US$1Million in politics, the young Deputy Minister was also heard denigrating her colleague Deputy Minsiter, Rachel Appoh, as an “ugly, unintelligent and egoistic” person who needlessly fought her boss - Oye Lithur - at the Gender, Children and Social Protection Ministry. 

She was sacked barely 24-hours after the tape was leaked and aired by several radio stations across the country.
However, on Wednesday, the dismissed former deputy Minister, in an interview with Radio XYZ thanked President Mahama for the opportunity to serve in his government, adding that she would come out with her side of the story at the right time. 
The former Deputy Minister stated that she has learnt her lessons and promised to be more discreet if another opportunity is offered her in future.
