The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare, and his team last Friday visited night barrier and night patrol duty men on the Tamale-Walewale-Bolgatanga road.
His visit comes after two police officers were reported to have died in a road accident on the Walewale-Bolgatanga Highway.
Three other officers who were among the team are said to have sustained various degrees of injuries and currently receiving treatment at the Tamale Teaching Hospital.

During the visit, IGP Akuffo Dampare interacted with the personnel to find out their to the needs and concerns.
He urged them to be professional in the discharge of their duties as well as work with integrity and strive to uphold the name of the service at all times.

He assured them that the Police Administration will stand with any officer who does the right thing.
The Northern Regional Police Commander, COP Timothy Yoosa Bonga, North East Regional Commander, DCOP Moses Ali Kpeachin, and other Senior Officers of the Tamale Regional Police Command accompanied the IGP on his visits.
