The Ghana Immigration Service has expressed worry about the failure of foreign companies intending to work in the country’s oil and gas sector to comply with the requisite documentation process. This comes after the companies raised concerns over delays associated with the procurement of work permits in the oil and gas sector. But speaking in an interview with Joy Business, Deputy Director in charge of Immigration in the Western region, Emmanuel Otchere Boakye said the companies have themselves to blame as they rather flout the process. He said the law provides that foreigners who apply for work permits must produce a certain set of documents without issuing the documents becomes a problem.Mr. Boakye is therefore urging foreign companies to comply with the laid down rules so as to expedite their work permits.
