The Legion, a youth-led group advocating for informed discourse, political activism and active civic engagement, has announced the inaugural edition of "Ghana Speaks Debate."

The event, scheduled to take place at the UniMAC Auditorium in North Legon on Saturday, April 27, 2024, seeks to encourage critical thinking and dialogue among Ghanaian youth, nurturing intellectual discourse and debate in anticipation of the 2024 General Elections.

The inaugural edition of the Ghana Speaks Debate is intended to foster constructive dialogue regarding the key policies put forward by political parties in anticipation of the election, while also tackling urgent issues confronting the nation.

“It provides a platform for diverse perspectives to be heard and understood, encouraging thoughtful discussion and analysis. The Ghana Speaks Debate is poised to become a serialized event, serving as a dynamic forum for young Ghanaians to engage in discussions spanning a myriad of topics, including but not limited to the economy, governance, youth-centric policies, social issues, and political discourse,” the group said in a press statement.
