The Chancellor of the newly chartered University of Gold Coast, Bishop Dr. Gideon Titi-Ofei has called for a new era of ethical and visionary leadership to drive Ghana’s economic growth.
Delivering a speech at the media launch and inauguration of the university in the Greater Accra region, he called on the leadership of the nation to make bold steps to resolve the country’s challenges.
“Ghana does not have a resource problem. Ghana must not have a leadership problem”, he said.

According to him, there is the urgent need to redefine the orientation of leadership in Ghana to encourage more people to join in the push for development.

“Ghana is standing at the crossroads of history. The world is asking; where will the next generation of transformative leaders emerge? Our answer is clear. They will emerge from the University of Gold Coast”, he said.
