It was all joy for Hearts of Oak fans at the Tema Sports Stadium as the Phobians rallied from two goals down to beat Inter Allies 3-2 on Sunday on match day five of the 2016 Ghana Premier League, a game the two sides gave their all in the first half of the game.
The home side in the early minutes took total control of the game and pelted the away side with a lot long balls, but the Phobians withstood the pressure. The Accra giants started warming themselves into the game but they had Evans Mensah to contend who was delight to watch but the scores stayed goalless at the first half.
From the break, the Tema based side started the second half as the strongest side and in the 50 minute Inter Allies broke the deadlock through Frederick Boateng. Ten minutes later the home side doubled their lead courtesy Gockel Ahortor. With defeat staring at Kenichi Yatsuhashi’s side they went all gun blazing and in the 65Isaac Mensah pulled one back.
Second half substitute Ibrahim Musah restored parity with 12 minutes to end the game. However, late in the game, Ibrahim Musah broke Inter Allies hearts with the Phobians third and his second on the day.
The result means that the Phobians are yet to lose a game in the ongoing campaign and they are currently leading the log sheet with 13 points.
On Saturday, Aduana drew 1-1 with AshGold in Obuasi.
On Friday, Kotoko recorded their first win of the season with a 1-0 win against Hasaacas.
