Irene Logan and Jane Awindor now Efya - formerly of Irene and Jane fame are set to reunite to record a track for their individual albums.
The reunion comes after about three years of the duo choosing their separate career paths – the duo were carved out of the first season of the Star’s of the Future reality show where Irene came first and Jane, second runner-up.
Speaking on Day Break Hitz on Hitz FM with Lexis Bill Friday, Irene said they are currently in the studio working on a song and as soon as it’s done, their fans will hear of it.
The collaboration, she said will be an ‘Irene and Efya affair’ and that song will feature on their respective upcoming albums.
“I have been working with Efya in the studios…it’s a feature Irene and Efya not Irene and Jane…it’s going to be a collaboration, we are doing a song together for our albums. Its not complete so when it is [our fans will hear of it,” she said.
Irene and Jane received both local and international acclamation after the release of their album Unveiled which saw them clinching the award for Best Female Vocal Performance at the 2008 edition of the Ghana Music Awards.
Irene is currently putting finishing touches to her 10-track album, Rebirth, which will be released in the middle of the year.
The sweet songstress also revealed that she is also collaborating with H Boogie – the younger sister of UK singer Estelle of American Boy fame.
