Joy Entertainment's Mapitso Sebidi has been named as a host of the red carpet session of the 2021 edition of Rhythms on the Runway.
The theme for this year’s edition is, "The Masquerade". The rationale is to encourage everyone to keep their face masks on, because Covid-19 is still with us.
The Masquerade edition aims to document the times and demonstrate humanity's resilience by taking a nostalgic walk to a time when Masquerade balls were the norm. The fashion Show will therefore be a fantastic juxtaposition between a time when face masks were worn for fashion and a jolly good time and now, when masks are worn for survival.
Mapitso Sebidi is the host of a social media review show, JoyNews Interactive which airs every weekday 11:00 am-11:30 am on the JoyNews channel. She doubles as a news anchor on the same channel.
With this announcement, Mapitso Sebidi joins the ranks of personalities who have graced and emceed prominent events in Ghana.
Maps, as she is fondly known, is no stranger to emceeing events. She is thus promising nothing but the best on the red carpet.
“Rhythms on the Runway is very big day for all fashion lovers and I can’t wait to give out my best and add my energy and infectious sense of humor to make the show an even greater one” She said.
