Junior nurses and midwives have called off their intended demonstration today to demand unpaid salaries which they have been demanding for almost two years now.
This follows an order from the Police who say the health workers failed to secure permit to allow them embark on the demonstration.
Joy News’ Hannah Odame who was at the Obra spot at the Kwame Nkrumah circle said the aggrieved nurses, clad in red bands, resolved not to go back to their places of work “because they are not in the right state of mind as their monies have not been paid and they do not want posterity to judge them for the loss of anyone’s life.”
