Kenpong Football Academy has announced the appointment of Serbian coach Aleksandar Jović, who currently manages Sudan’s U-23 national team, as a new addition to its technical team.
Jović joins the academy on a two-year contract, bringing a wealth of international coaching experience. He will serve in a part-time capacity while maintaining his role with the Sudanese Football Association.
At just 25 years old, Jović has built an impressive résumé, having previously served as technical director at SRF Academy, international development coordinator at Clube Operário Desportivo, and head coach at both Eleven Stars Sports and Tunaruz Sports.
His recruitment follows a meeting with academy owner Kennedy Agyapong during a recent trip to Europe. According to sources close to the academy, Jović’s tactical insight and strong talent identification skills made a lasting impression on Agyapong.
In a brief interview, Jović expressed his enthusiasm about the new role, citing alignment with the academy's mission and vision. He stated that his focus will be on instilling discipline, professionalism, and a strong work ethic among the players, while also preparing them for opportunities in the European football market.
Jović also commended the academy’s infrastructure, describing it as comparable to facilities found in top European institutions. In addition to his responsibilities at Kenpong, he will continue his work with SRF Academy in Portugal.
Through his wide network, Jović is expected to support the academy's efforts to secure pathways for players in countries including Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Mozambique, and Brazil.
His appointment reflects Kenpong Football Academy’s continued investment in technical excellence and its ambition to offer world-class development for young footballers. The academy has already seen notable progress in recent years, with several players securing professional contracts in Europe.
