Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, the celebrated media personality popularly known as KKD, has been named Ghana’s Special Envoy to the Caribbean Region.
The appointment comes as Ghana seeks to strengthen international relations and deepen bilateral ties with Caribbean nations.
In his new role, KKD will be tasked with boosting diplomatic, cultural, and economic cooperation between Ghana and countries such as Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados.
The envoy’s mandate aligns with Ghana’s broader foreign policy goals, including expanding trade and investment opportunities, promoting Ghanaian culture abroad, and collaborating with Caribbean partners on shared development challenges.
KKD’s appointment highlights the country’s commitment to leveraging historical, cultural, and ancestral links to strengthen bonds with the Caribbean.
