Asante Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Dramani says he is satisfied with the 1-1 result against Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
The champions fought from a goal down to force a draw against their arch rivals at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Kotoko equalized through midfielder Michael Helegbe early in the second half after Winful Cobbinah had given Hearts a deserved 27th minute lead.
A win could have seen the Porcupine Warriors clinch top spot in the Ghanaian top flight.
But coach Dramani insists he is satisfied with the result while praising his team for the fight-back against Hearts.
“We had come to win and so we were still very positive at the time we were down and was throwing everything at the game,” he said.
“Once we wanted the three points and we couldn’t get it and we had one point, we feel it was a very good result.”
Kotoko are now second – just a point behind new leaders Berekum Chelsea with six game left.
The champions will now face dethroned leaders Medeama on Wednesday in Kumasi.
