Asante Kotoko have rejected the Tumu Park which is to host their round of 32 FA Cup tie encounter against lower division side Real 24 United on Saturday.
The management of Asante Kotoko are of the view that the game was originally scheduled to be played at Wa, and expect the initial schedule to go on as planned until the new venue at Tumu passes the standards set by the Club Licensing Board.
"We were initially informed that, the aforementioned match was to be played in Wa only to learn later that, the match has been moved to
Tumu after the Upper West Regional Football Association (RFA) Chairman inspected the venue.
“Furthermore, the venue cannot be passed for this match without recourse to the Club Licensing Board. Therefore Kumasi Asante Kotoko will not play at that venue and in consequence brings its decision to the notice of the FA” this was stated In a letter 12 April, 2016, signed by General Manager, Opoku Nti.
