A family of three met their untimely death in Kronom-Kwapra near Kumasi Kumasi on Saturday night when their three-bedroom flat collapsed during a heavy down pour.
The three included Boakye Yiadom, a 66-year old horticulturalist, his wife, 50-year old Ama Amponsah, and their 11-year old son, class four pupil.
According to Nhyira News’ Kofi Asante, The bodies have been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi.
The building housing the deceased reportedly collapsed at 10:30 pm when they were asleep. Due to the time the incident occurred, residents in the area tried their best, but could not safe the family.
The heavy rains also destroyed several properties running into millions of Ghana cedis belonging to other residents.
