The seven teenagers standing trial for gang-raping a girl in Bantama in the Ashanti Region capital, Kumasi, have been remanded in Juvenile custody for the second time by the court.
They are expected to reappear in court on January 10, 2018.
The prosecutor told the Asokwa Juvenile Court on Wednesday, 27 December that investigations have not been concluded.
Four of them have since been picked up and arraigned before the Court while police are pursuing the remaining three who are still on the run.
Aside from rape, they have also been charged with conspiracy to rape.
A video of the incident, allegedly filmed by the suspects, went viral on social media.
It captured the minors overpowering the struggling girl as they had their turn with her.
Meanwhile, Bantamahene in Kumasi, Baffuor Owusu Amankwatia VI, is calling for severe punishment for the teenagers.
Baffuor Amankwatia believes the punitive measure will serve as a deterrent for others who may intend to perpetrate such crime.
In an exclusive interview with Nhyira FM, he says there will be no attempt to intervene or intercede on behalf of the suspects.
