After dazzling cheering fans in Estonia during the Christmas and New Year festivities, Kusum Gboo Dance Ensemble left Accra last week for a three-week performance tour of The Netherlands.
Renowned for its high energy and extremely expressive dance pieces, the group will perform in several Dutch cities and towns while holding dance and drum workshops for students, artistes as well as members of the general public.
Crowned Best Traditional Group for 2005 by the Ghana Music Awards, the group has delighted diverse audiences in several European and African countries with stimulating performances that recall the rich traditions of Ghana.
Dubbed “Mundial on Tour”, the programme is being organized by Mundial Productions, a colourful cultural organization that works with immense passion and creativity within a global perspective.
With a vision, which states that “Culture Contributes to Development”, the organization has over the years been involved in activities that showcase the power of culture.
