New Patriotic Party flagbearer aspirant, Alan Kyerematen has described the late Maulvi Wahab Adam as a "Great Man of Peace".
The Ameer of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission in Ghana died on Sunday afternoon after a protracted battle with ill health. Dr. Wahab Adam was also a member of the National Reconciliation Commission.
Alan, who is a former Minister for Trade and Industry, issued a statement hours after the news broke portraying the late Ameer: "As an Arabic Scholar who endeared himself as a ‘Humble Leader’ and ‘Man of Peace’, Maulvi Adam served his nation and religion diligently and will be dearly missed by all persons of peace.
"I join the entire Ahmadi community and all Ghanaians to mourn the loss of this great man of our land. My heart goes out to his family as well as loved ones and pray that the good Allah will give him eternal rest in peace".

Dr. Wahab Adam left behind a wife and 7 children.
Meanwhile, the Mission has announced, a book of condolence will be opened at the Mission's National Headquarters at Osu, Nyaniba Estates, from Monday, 23rd June, 2014, at 10.00am.
